Lean Updates for Named Applications · LUNA

Software maintenance for your Azure application

Your application keeps needing small changes, but not a new project. With LUNA, you reserve fixed hours for them every month, from 8 hours and cancellable monthly after three months.

  • C#/.NET and TypeScript
  • Tickets in your Azure DevOps, GitHub or GitLab
  • 2-hour response on business days

01Fit

You're in the right place if …

  • your application runs in Azure and is built with C#/.NET or with TypeScript using React, Next.js or Node.js.
  • smaller changes come up regularly, but not often enough to justify a dedicated project or team.
  • you want to know how long a change will take before work starts.
  • we built the application, or you can hand it over to us with a one-day onboarding.

02Not a fit

LUNA is not the right fit if …

  • what you mainly need is someone to run and monitor your application. We do that with ASTRA.
  • your application is built on a different stack, such as PHP, Java or Angular.
  • you need someone to respond at night or on weekends.

03How LUNA works

How a change works

  1. Ticket

You create the change as a ticket wherever your code lives, for example in Azure DevOps, GitHub or GitLab. During service hours, weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00 German time, we respond within two hours. For questions and quick coordination, you can also reach us on Teams.

  2. Estimate

Within two business days, you receive an effort estimate. You know how many hours a change will take before any are deducted from your allowance.

  3. Approval and implementation

Once you approve, we complete tasks of up to four hours within five business days. For tasks of up to one working day, we give you a date along with the estimate.

  4. Testing and deployment

We test the change technically and deploy it through your existing pipeline.

  5. Acceptance

You check that the change does what your business needs.

04Scope

What LUNA includes

LUNA covers exactly the application named in the contract. Within your allowance, we change the source code, extend features and fix bugs. If a change requires new or modified Azure resources, such as a storage account or a queue, we set them up as part of the same task.

Once a month, we also review what your application is built on. If .NET or Node versions are reaching end of support or the SDKs it uses are outdated, we let you know before it turns into a problem. This review doesn't count against your hours.

05Boundaries

What LUNA doesn't include

Running, monitoring and supervising the application and its resources is not part of LUNA, and that includes resources we create as part of a change. Your tenant, governance and security are not our responsibility either.

ASTRA, our managed service for Azure, takes care of all that. The two can be combined: ASTRA looks after the environment, LUNA after the application within it. If your tenant is managed by another provider, we coordinate resource changes with them.

06Price

Terms

You decide how many hours to reserve each month, with a minimum of 8. We bill the allowance monthly in advance at the agreed day rate, and time is deducted in 15-minute increments. Hours you don’t use in a month stay valid for three months. You can use up to twice your monthly allowance in any one month, including carried-over hours. Tasks that take more than one working day are not covered by the allowance. For those, you’ll receive a separate quote.

Any remaining hours expire when the contract ends.

If we didn't build your application, we start with a one-time onboarding for EUR 1,500 net: reviewing the code, setting up access, building and deploying the application once, and documenting its current state. If the application can't be taken over within one day, for example because there is no pipeline, we'll tell you up front and send you a separate quote.

07FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is software maintenance?

Software maintenance covers the changes made to an application after it goes live: adjustments, extensions and bug fixes. The goal is to keep the application in step with how your business works.

How is LUNA different from an operations contract?

Many maintenance contracts cover both changing and running an application. We separate the two: LUNA changes the application, ASTRA runs your Azure environment.

How is software maintenance billed at DEVDEER?

You choose an allowance of at least 8 hours a month, billed at the agreed day rate. For applications we didn’t build, there’s a one-time onboarding fee of EUR 1,500 net.

What happens to tickets and access if I cancel?

Nothing needs to move. Tickets and code stay in your own system the whole time, in Azure DevOps, GitHub or GitLab. When the contract ends, you revoke our access.

Tell us about your application

Briefly describe your application: what it's built with, who developed it and what typically needs changing. We'll get back to you with an assessment of whether LUNA is a good fit.
